GGP endeavours to do at least one charity job each month, as a way of putting something back into the community. It may be Neil on his own playing big pipes, or with Kathryn as Glenbervie Duo. In April, the two of us played for an hour at the Maples Day Care Centre in Stenhousemuir, entertaining service users and staff with traditional and folk music. It was a rewarding experience and we hope to return from time to time.

Neil was asked to play at Forth Valley Sensory Centre’s 10th Anniversary celebrations on 20th April. It was a lovely sunny day as Neil ‘piped in’ the guests. It proved to be a busy week, as on the 23rd Neil went through to the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow to play as guests arrived. The occasion was a fundraising evening by Rangers Supporters’ Erskine Appeal. He even got his photo taken with ex-Rangers star, Brian Laudrup! (You can see pics of both these events on GGP Facebook page).
