Glenbervie Duo are going to be very busy in the run up to Christmas! This Sunday, 29th Nov, we’ll be at Torwood Garden Centre, Larbert from 1230 – 4pm. Neil is piping in Santa and his reindeer, then we’re playing a selection of festive and folk tunes.
As part of Falkirk Folk Club, we’re joining their group ‘Carron Cast’ for an evening of wintry tunes and songs. ‘Winterset’ takes place in the Tolbooth, Falkirk, on Thur 10th Dec from 8.30pm till late.
The following weekend is hectic, with a stint at the Victorian Craft Fair in the Dobbie Hall, Larbert, on the 12th between 11 – 3. We’re even dressing up for that one!! On the Sunday we’ll be playing in the Howgate Centre, Falkirk, to keep the shoppers entertained from 1230 – 3pm. Then we’re galloping off to the Kelpies as part of their festive afternoon at the new visitor centre.
Kathryn is playing clarinet with Falkirk Tryst Orchestra in their Bairns’ Christmas concert. Two performances on 20th Dec, with firm favourites and audience participation guaranteed! That should be us then, save for some impromptu tunes at Kathryn’s sister’s on Christmas Day! 2016 looks like it could be rather hectic, too. Watch this space…
