Wow, are we really almost half way through the year? January was busy with Burns’ Suppers, both in our local area and in the Fox & Hounds in Ennerdale, Cumbria. In February we joined our good friends George and Tony (‘Corralach’) in a mini tour including gigs in Stirling, Aberdour and Tarbet. Great fun! We did a charity gig for Home-Start in Falkirk with some friends in March as well as playing at the Torphichen Inn for a group of Outlander fans, which was quite a riotous evening! We enjoyed doing a lunchtime recital at Falkirk Trinity Church in May, showcasing some new clarinet and smallpipe tunes. The acoustics there are perfect for our kind of music.

And now for the drum roll…Glenbervie Duo will be playing at the Edinburgh Fringe on Monday 7 August! The venue is St Mark’s Unitarian church which also has superb acoustics. We’re very excited about this, our debut Fringe performance. Here’s the link for tickets and info: https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/glenbervie-folk-duo
Of course, Neil is also still busy teaching and playing at weddings and Kathryn has been in rehearsals with Falkirk Tryst Orchestra so it’s no wonder the weeks are flying by!
